We were commissioned to create lighted garments for the 2022 production of José el Soñador (Joseph the Dreamer), a modern Spanish language revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Starring Fela Domínguez, Carlos Rivera, and Kalimba, the musical premiered on February 10, 2022 at Teatro 1 Cultural Center in Mexico City.

We created an illuminated version of the dreamcoat, with nearly 1000 individually addressable RGB LED pixels animated in a variety of multicolor patterns. We also installed lighting in more than 30 robes that were worn by the choir, creating a starry-night effect that allowed them to blend in with the projected scenery.
