LED Shoulder Pad Logos

In 2016, these lighted shoulder pads were created as part of a costume for a children's show on a major network. The client provided the base shoulder pads, and digital artwork for the desired logo.

We built two fabric stencil versions of the logo, and created RGB LED backlighting that could illuminate the shapes with a variety of color gradients and pulsing effects (including white/purple, white/pink/purple, hot pink, and white).

The system was built as an assembly of two shoulder pads that could be strapped onto an existing costume, with detachable wires running from each shoulder to a central LED driver and rechargeable battery pack, worn on the back of the actor.
